Easter’s right around the corner, and it’s got this vibe of fresh starts and hope. Now imagine sharing that with kids in Africa who need it most. Across the continent, millions of children face daily battles just to drink clean water or go to school. It’s tough, but we’re doing something about it at Amigos Internacionales. In rural Uganda, we’re building wells and classrooms to give kids a real shot at a better life. This Easter 2025, your donation can make that happen for more children, bringing health, learning, and a whole lot of smiles. We’ll walk you through the challenges these kids face, how we’re helping, and why your gift this season matters. Want to know more about us? Check out Who We Are. Life for many African kids isn’t easy. Picture a girl walking miles to scoop water from a murky river. That’s reality in places like rural Uganda, where clean water’s hard to come by. Dirty water makes kids sick with stuff like cholera, keeping them out of school or worse. Then there’s education. Tons of children don’t have a school nearby, or if they do, it’s a long trek with no guarantee of books or teachers. In Uganda, we’ve seen kids miss out on reading and writing because there’s just no place to learn.
Poverty ties it all together. Without water or schools, families stay stuck, and kids’ dreams get put on hold. It’s not just about today, it’s about their whole future. These aren’t small problems, but they’re ones we can tackle together. Want to dig into the stats? Look at World Bank for more on child poverty.
So, what are we doing? At Amigos, we’re all about giving kids the tools to thrive. In Uganda, that means drilling deep water wells that pump out clean, safe water. Take our well at Open Hands Academy in Ogul Village. For $10,000, we built one that serves 150 kids and their neighbors, cutting out those risky river trips. Clean water means healthier kids who can focus on play and learning, not stomachaches.
Then there’s school. We’re building classrooms to make sure kids get an education. Open Hands Academy teaches 150 children, from preschoolers to third graders, with plans to grow. Harvest of Hope gives orphans a safe place to learn, complete with a library and playground. These schools aren’t just buildings, they’re where kids discover they’re champions.

Your online Easter donations can do some amazing things. Let’s break it down. A gift to Amigos could help fund a well, like the one at Open Hands that’s changed life for 150 kids. That’s clean water for drinking, washing, even growing food. Or it could build a classroom, buy books, or train a teacher at schools like Harvest of Hope, where orphans get a fresh start. Even a small donation might pay for a desk or a pump, making a big difference.
Picture this: in Ogul Village, kids used to get sick from bad water. Now, with our well, they’re in school, laughing, learning to read. That’s what your gift does, it turns tough days into hopeful ones. Easter’s all about new beginnings, and your donation gives kids just that.
Easter’s special. It’s about second chances, love, and coming together. What better time to help African kids who need a hand? In Uganda, we’re seeing kids held back by things we can fix: dirty water, no schools, poverty’s weight. Your donation this Easter 2025 isn’t just money, it’s a way to say these kids matter. It’s hope in action.
This Easter 2025, you can make a real difference for African kids. Through Amigos, your donations build wells that bring clean water, schools that teach kids to read, and communities that grow stronger. In Uganda, we’ve seen it happen: 150 kids at Open Hands now drink safe water and learn in class, all because people cared enough to give. There’s more to do, and your gift this season can keep the good going. Let’s make Easter about hope for every child, one donation at a time. Ready to jump in? Donate Now.
