At Amigos Internacionales, we're dedicated to building vibrant communities in rural Uganda for refugees fleeing South Sudan. Today, we achieve this through building Mission Points, a concept that's changing lives in the heart of Africa.

In Burpong, Uganda, 350 preschool-aged children are waiting for a future that sometimes feels out of reach. With no school within a 20-mile radius, these children are missing out on the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream beyond their circumstances. But hope is unfolding, thanks to the generosity of village leaders and the dedication of Amigos Internacionales.
The leaders of Burpong have come together, donating 16 acres of land—a powerful act of generosity aimed at building a future for their children. A water well has already been drilled, providing clean water to the community, and Dila Baptist Church now gathers in a humble hut, with Pastor Patrick leading a hopeful congregation. These steps are laying the groundwork for something much bigger.
Small Steps, Big Impact
During our recent visit to Uganda in late August, we delivered chairs and blackboards to the Burpong community—small but essential tools for the education these children so desperately need. These are the first steps in a larger mission to bring education to Burpong’s children.
Burpong’s missionpoint is not just another project—it is a lifeline for an entire community. We aim to raise $200,000 to build two phases of schools that will serve as a beacon of light for these children. This is more than just construction; it is about providing the gift of education, empowering young minds, and inspiring dreams that can change lives.
Our Proven MissionPoint Model: Ogul Village
In Ogul Village, Uganda, we’ve successfully implemented the MissionPoint model. The community now has a school where children are learning every day, a church that serves as a spiritual center, a water well that provides clean water, a classroom dedicated to life skills training, and a portion of land for farming. Looking ahead, part of our future initiatives in Ugul is the establishment of a medical clinic to address minor illnesses, further enhancing the well-being of the community.
We are at a critical juncture. With your support, we can bring education to hundreds of children in Burpong and help transform their futures. We pray with hopeful hearts that we can raise the $200,000 needed to build these schools, and we believe that with your generosity, this vision will become a reality.
