Dr. LaNoue is an accomplished author known for his books "Walking with God in Broken Places and Lessons I Learned Along the Way" and "Divorcing? Remember Me!" His writing reflects deeply personal experiences, including the impact of divorce during his childhood and his journey to establish a strong, faith-based marriage. These books provide valuable insights into dating, courtship, and marriage, offering guidance for building happy relationships​​.
Beyond his medical career, Dr. LaNoue has dedicated over 60 years to global disaster relief, traveling the world to assist those affected by crises. His innovative contributions include designing the first mobile kitchen in an 18-wheeler container, a concept that has grown to over 1100 units nationwide with almost 100,000 trained volunteers. His efforts have earned him international commendations, including recognition from President George Bush and dignitaries from North Korea. Dr. LaNoue's unique blend of faith and practical skills in disaster relief has affectionately earned him the nickname "Indiana Jones with a Bible and a Skillet."
Dr. LaNoue, fondly known as "Dr. John," was married for 66 years until the passing of his wife, "Dr. L." They raised two children: John LaNoue, Jr. MD, a pediatric surgeon, and Lydia LaNoue Slinkard, a mother of two. His personal and professional life is a testament to his commitment to faith, family, and service to others.​
