Access to quality Medical Care is a fundamental human right. However, millions of people around the world, especially in rural regions and developing countries, lack this access. In northern Uganda, the situation is particularly challenging due to a combination of factors such as poverty, armed conflict, population displacement, and lack of infrastructure.
Amigos International, aware of this problem, has undertaken a series of initiatives to improve the health of communities in northern Uganda. Through the construction of health centres, the training of health personnel and the implementation of disease prevention programmes, the organisation is transforming the lives of thousands of people.

Answer: The biggest challenges include a lack of qualified health personnel, shortages of medicines and medical equipment, poor infrastructure, poverty and armed conflict. These factors limit access to essential health services for many communities.
