Amigos Internacionales is looking forward to helping support and strengthen the disadvantaged children of the rural area of Ogul village, Uganda. We are building a Kindergarten/Early Childhood Development Center to enable them to access low-cost quality education.
Committed to fighting the effect of rising inflation on child education, Amigos is determined to leave no more children deprived of education just because they did not have potential resources. Our ultimate goal is to raise around $100,000 to buy a school in Gulu and expand it to include a secondary school and trade school opportunities so that these children can have enough resources to help build the desired life. We have purchased an additional 8 acres of cultivated land (including a Eucalyptus farm) to help provide economic lift projects for the impoverished community as well.
Expansion of the school to provide primary education to the learners will further improve the quality of basic education by increasing equitable access, quality, and sustainability of primary education that is inclusive and innovative . The expansion of the school to accommodate higher grades will lead to adolescent development as the older children will have access to information, life skills, and essential services, to reduce their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy, violence, and poverty.
