to the tireless efforts of Amigos Internacionales, Brenda’s life has been
transformed in ways that were once unimaginable.

Priska’s story is one of incredible perseverance and the transformative power
of education. Just five short years ago, she was a young orphan girl living in a compound near her grandmother in Northern Gulu, Uganda. Unable to pay her school fees and caring for several younger siblings, her dream of becoming a nurse seemed impossible.
Michelle Agenorwot
Michelle’s story is one of incredible resilience and the power of hope and
education to change lives. At just six years old, Michelle was left to care for her
weak and feeble grandmother after her parents passed away from
AIDS-related illnesses. With no money for school and very little money for
food, Michelle’s future seemed bleak.
Sempa Evans
Sempa’s story is one of heartbreaking circumstances and the incredible
resilience of the human spirit. Raised by his terminally ill grandmother after
his mother abandoned him, Sempa has had a difficult start to life. With no
father in the picture and little support from his family, Sempa has had to rely
on the kindness of others to survive.
