Monica is anxiously waiting for a sponsor. She lives in a home in Gulu, Northern Uganda with her two cousins and a sister. There are no adults other than her single mom to take care of them. She was enrolled in a nearby kindergarten/nursery school early this year but dropped out because her mum couldn’t afford the tuition fees, and other school-related expenses and couldn’t maintain the children including Monica over the long term. Despite her mother earning some money from selling the surplus crop from the small garden they are hiring, they don’t have enough money for food every day. Monica enjoys playing with toy cars, dolls, singing, drawing, and matching letters. Her dream in life is to be a Police Officer so as to help protect property and keep law and order in the town. She needs your support to have new opportunities to learn and grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.
