Building Schools, changing lives

Our goal is not just to teach education, but we believe education leads to wisdom, and wisdom leads to service.

Knowledge without the ability to use it to assist your fellow man is useless.

School Plans

Amigos Internacionales is excited to announce the purchase of 9.5 acres of rural farm land and a 150 student preschool/elementary school in the Ogul Village Area of Gulu, Uganda.

Since this area of rural Uganda doesn’t have any kindergarten at all, getting particularly the proposed Kindergarten/Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre up and running will enable the most deprived and vulnerable children in the rural area of Ogul to access low cost quality education. Similarly, expansion of the school to provide primary education to the learners will further improve the quality of basic education by increasing equitable access, quality and sustainability of primary education that is inclusive and innovative. The expansion of the school to accommodate higher graders will lead to adolescent development as the older children will have access to information, life skills and essential services, to reduce their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy and violence.
